How to validate new product ideas with a data driven approach

It’s probably one of the most challenging things to achieve in new product development: quantifying the market demand of a not yet built product with consumer behaviour.

But wait, why not ask a sufficiently large number of potential customers if they would buy that product? Because each opinion is biased due to different reasons. Asking people if they would buy a product is not necessarily what they will eventually do.

If you want to ensure that the 42% failure rate does not hit your new product because of missing market demand, you need to find your way around customer opinions and start measuring behaviour.

This session will be about the psychology of opinion-based research, how to overcome it, and discussing an actual market demand test of a successful quick commerce startup.
